:( I've started using Bluehost for 7 days, but sorrow to day that my server (host at 70.103.140.143 ) has been DOWN for 2 times. Is there something bad occured? This is really annoying for users and small website holders like me. Bluehost staffs, can you help to make the server more stable and reliable? We count on you guys!

Mine is down too.
It's my second day to use bluehost. And it's down twice in 12 hours. What can I say? :(

There is no access to my web sites today or even to the Bluehost control panel - whats going on?
This is my first week - but it may be my last.

I have bought a host yesterday ( server ip 70.103.140.143 ) and it is already down, I think I have made the wrong choice applying with bluehost. I will give it one more week and if this issue ( or any other ) continue to occur, I will cancel the account and request a refund.

Mine too !!!
This is very annoying. Its my sixth day on blue host.
Yesterday changed my previuos hosting company because of the down times, and hosted all my files and emails on this new bluehost. But this host died the very next day !!
I have heard about the power outrage in bluehost is very frequent.
Bluehost, you guys got to improve your services. its not that much hard to buy a UPS for your servers.

Ok this is so insanely weird. I'm on box 108, and I put a script on my site last week to determine whether this uptime was affecting me at all, since I don't visit my sites that often . So far, it hasn't been down at all, and I've never noticed any downtime on my sites.
Guess I'll just wait and see.

Box 108 had backup power available. Thus, you wouldn't have been affected by the outages in the last couple of days. Other than that... lucky you! People on your box must have friendly scripts! :-)

they had a number of their servers in a building with just a UPS and no generator. So when the power went out the servers were down until the local power company got the power back on.
You may have noticed that the pre-sale marketing material says they have generators. NOPE. Not for all servers. Sketcy at best.

Actually...
They moved the down servers to the building with the generator. At least that is what we have been told. The support team did their best to solve a problem that should have never occurred. And for that I salute them.

I agree. What concerns me is that this is a problem anyone can spot from a mile away. Yet it happened anyway. So one of the following must be true:
-they planned to get a generator but didn't in time. If so POOR leadership
-they were going to do this move at some time but had not yet. If so then either something wasn't/isn't ready (could this mean smaller periods of downtime as the bugs get worked out?) or they just didn't get around to it.
-they chose to do nothing hoping it would not be a problem. If so, thats a very bad way to treat your consumers.
-they didn't think this would happen. That requires that the management people be too clueless...I don't think this is the case.
Any way you cut it BH goofed. I hope the CEO fesses up to this in the email we are all sure to get.
