View Full Version : Where has Joomla gone in Fantastico

I have just set up my second Bluehost account and when I log into cPanel to install a Joomla script, it is nowhere to be seen. Does nayone know where it has gone and how I get bit back?

Sorry folks, the cPanel has changed and I have now found the script installer.

For the benefit of others.... Joomla should now be installed through SimpleScripts, not Fantastico.

I think that this is the second post that I've seen this week regarding a script that's no longer available under Fantastico.

I'd have to presume that Bluehost is in the process of switching over all of its script installations from Fantastico to SimpleScripts. (If I'm not mistaken, they've been recommending using SimpleScripts over Fantastico for quite some time.) Based on what I've read about delays in Fantastico's updating of scripts, that would seem to be a very good move.

There is no reason for installing an outdated script from Fantastico when the latest version is available in SimpleScripts. BlueHost created SimpleScripts because the security holes in outdated scripts installed through Fantastico make the server far more vulnerable to attack.
