I must be stupid today.
I have several email accounts in my main domain and several in add-on domain. All are working using outlook express. :)
Wanting to use web mail, I logged on to my cPanel, click manage email then click on squirrel mail. I get no messages in the in box, and am not even sure which email account I just logged onto. No indication of which one - just my cPanel logon name shows. (default email I guess)
So..
How do I set up the accounts in squirrel mail to read different email accounts? Is it the same for addon domain boxes as main domain boxes.
I can not find the option or button or...
or... how do I logon to squirrel mail to see a specific email account?
I tried to search knowlege base but site must be down. not returns for key word 'web mail'
I am missing something really simple here I know so --- sorry

OK, I worked it out. Duh!
Log on using email address and email password - for each account
Jezz, what was I thinking.

I've gone through the same things you have... thinking it should be easy but I still couldn't do it.
I've now got it working except for one thing... how do I set up Outlook Express for other users who aren't very computer savvyl?
If I go through automatic Outlook Express install for their accounts, and it creates a *.reg file, that is then downloaded to my PC, can I just send that file to them and will it then install Outlook Express for them?
Or is the *.reg file unique to each computer?

Yes maybe... BUT... not sure If bluehost looks to see what windows you are using or if that even makes a difference. So, Do not know for sure. But, if you all use same windows (XP etc) then the *.reg file is otherwise not unique to the PC. (you can check - see below)
I personally walk my 'PC challenged' users thru the setup on the phone. It takes about 5 minutes and I don't have to expain all the *.reg stuff and... I think they learn a little about Outlook express each time. and... I usually have them go to the advanced options and select 'leave mail on the server' (POP3). This has saved me some pain - at least once. (the *reg file may not do that??)
Re the reg file:
I am always a little slow to let others (blue host etc) change my registry in windows. That is what the *.reg file will do. I always set up my outlook express manually so.. given that I will put a disclaimer on my answer.
..... I am Not sure but ....
The reg file in theory will put the data in the registry to add the email account to the mail server that the reg file is built for. so.. again in theory, and as long as you all have the same OS, you could build the files, send them to your users and they can use the file to set up their mail reader.
To do this, when you build the reg file. do NOT click 'open' when the "open/download/cancel" window shows up, click download.
If you "View" the file with notepad (or even edit it if you know what it does - I don't understand all the options) then you will see it has no specific info about the email user's pc. just the email address, and all the bluehost information required to add an account to outlook express (or the mail reader you created the file for). It does not have the password..
If you should do this, test it out first on your pc and THEN.. if you are confident to have your users use the file, send it to them with instruction on how to 'run' it etc..
Good luck
Dennis

OK, Dennis, that gives me a good start, and now I know how to proceed.
Thanks much!

I would like to be able to offer that "Auto-Configure Micosoft Outlook" service directly from a page on my website, just like BlueHost does from the control panel. I could reverse engineer it, but I would like to just use the same email.reg page that they are using.
Does anyone know if it is available to us?
