Since moving to a dedicated IP last week, my site has been experiencing performance issues-- slow loading pages and downloading of files.
Doing a traceroute from 4 different ISPs it appears that our address isn't resolving-- it seems to get stuck around the 10th hop. Doing a traceroute to bluehost.com on all these sites follows the same route but ultimately resolve.
Talking with a Bluehost rep, I was told that this is an ISP issue, and not a bluehost issue. There are a lot of ISPs out there, and if 100% of the four I tried had this problem it makes me wonder how many don't.
I can't ask all my users to contact their ISPs to get this fixed-- let alone I'm pretty sure every ISP will say its not their issue, as the route is failing/stalling outside there door.
Any idea how I should tackle this problem from this point forward?
