Hi,
Currently I have a wordpress blog on the main domain of my hosting. I want to install a separate wordpress blog in a subdomain. Is this possible? Would it wipe out my Wordpress install on my main domain? Can I have more than one Wordpress on the same host? I would think so as they use separate SQL databases. But I definitely don't want the wordpress on the main domain wiped out when I click install! I'm using Simple Scripts.

You should be able to have multiple installations on an account provided you have separated each into its own subdirectory and pointed it to individual databases. How SimpleScripts handles that, I do not know...
Yeah... just make sure you're using a different directory or domain. All my wordpress sites are installed on unique domains, but I don't see why you couldn't put an additional one under a subdomain or subforum of your primary domain.
(just make sure you fill out the destination correctly!)
And remember, its always a good time to download a backup...lol

You can even stick hundreds of installs into the same database just by using a different prefix for each.

It should work on a subdomain folder but how is it done with simple scripts?
I use WP MU and you an then install as many as you wish without touching your cpanel.
Very cool tool and very easy to use.

Hope that helps

After you click "Install Now" in simplescripts, there's a drop-down box where you can choose the domain or subdomain you want to install to, then a second box after the / where you can specify a subfolder.
So you could do
blog.mydomain.com or
www.mydomain.com or
something.mydomain.com/blog, etc...
