Can my database be set to let anyone access it? I can connect from my IP but my gaming server which tries to read it for info can not. Am I adding hosts in the remote mysql database section wrong or is there a way I can just let anyone access it if they have the username and password?

Whitelist the IP addresses you want to allow access from.

That's what I was going to do, but I'm only allowed to change it to my ip and some c list thing I don't know. I've added hosts to the list from the remote mysql section but nothing happens people still can't get on.

It's a security thing to not allow full access to the world or even IPs that you are not coming from. If you need more netblocks to have access (like your other server) then send a request to support along with validating your account.

So I need to submit a support ticket every time I need an IP added?... Also my account was validated by phone about a week or two ago.

It's a security issue that someone from an IP address that I've approved, who has a valid username and password, has access to the databases that user has privelages for?
It would be less of a security issue for me to log in from that IP address to whitelist it?

Oh I have to log in from that ip then add it to the white list... Well I can't do that as my server is a couple states away.. So I can just submit a ticket and they can add my server ip to my whitelist?
