Hello.. not sure about databases.. appeciate advice:
I want to have a form on my website where people can pre-order an item and have all their info logged into a database for me. How do I go about this correctly,

You can use one of open source shopping carts for this

but also maybe if you provide more details we can provide you better help

Hi, yes i just want to get a sense of how many want to buy my novel.. by having them click on the order fform as a pre-order item.. no money due.. and then be able to download thier name, info etc into a database, excel or something.

I don';t need a shopping cart.. just want to collect their info for later invoicing.
