Newbie google question.

Hi I am new at this and got my website up and running thanks to some help from you guys here on the forum and I have another question. I can type in my web adress and go to it but when I search on Google my site does not come up. How can I make it work on google. Thanks Shane

If you have a gmail account, even if you don't - http://www.google.com/webmasters/

It's going to take some time before google indexes your site, give it a week.
You can submit your sitemap to google and other search engines to speed up the indexing process.

Mostly what you need is links to your site from other sites already listed that Google can follow to find your site. The quality (relevance) and quantity of quality links will affect where your site gets listed.
