Hi,
These are all ridiculously rudimentary questions which have probably been asked before, but I've just got a domain name, installed Wordpress, chosen a template and am looking to upload some pictures to a new photoblog. All I want to do is host the images at Bluehost and get the URL to post via Wordpress. I've set up a directory in my domain's root folder, uploaded an image, but I have no idea what the URL is and can't find it at all. If anyone can tell me how to do this, I'd be really grateful.
Thanks,
Dave

(There may well be one or two more stupid questions to follow.)

Well it wont work in your "root" directory BUT if you meant you created a directory under /public_html/FOLDER/ with say a jpeg file in it named "pic.jpg" the url would be http://yourdomain.com/FOLDER/pic.jpg

You can also create "relative" addresses if you like but if all you want is the addresses of your images you might also want to try going into CPanel and pulling up a file manager {I use the legacy one}. Then click on the image file ... and over on the write you'll see the link for it :)

Did you create a database? http://imagepot.info/img/502/w08q1028hnzf/biggrin.gif It does sound like you have a few more steps left to perform.
