Have you tried contacting Fastdomain's Live Chat help? There's a button for it on their front page (lower left).

This forum is for help with Bluehost issues. Bluehost and Fastdomain are generally identical, but I wouldn't rely on that too much.

MySQL runs on the local server on Fastdomain just as it does on Bluehost so "localhost" should work just fine unless you are connecting from a remote server. As an aside, mysql2.fastdomain.com doesn't exist and even if it did it wouldn't answer on a public vlan.

Could you describe exactly what it is you are attempting to do, and what error you are getting?
