does anybody else experience any postgres access issues lately? i cannot log in from phpPgAdmin with my credentials anymore, yet i can still see my databases when logging in with psql from the ssh prompt.
i opened a ticket that was mostly ignored for 4 days (yep, 4 days!!!), the only information i received during this time was that "it was more difficult than they(?) thought", and i "should perhaps wait for 7 days before anything gets done". finally yesterday night i received an email describing some kind of incompatibility, and i should either be moved to another machine (but i would have to do the backup / restore myself), or i should wait for another month until the server i'm on is updated, while herding off my databases to an off-site server. well, the problem is that i cant access my databases anyway - maybe there is a way to backup from the command line but i dont know it. i asked what version of postgresql can i expect to be upgraded to, if i am to move, and they gave me the version numbers that i'm currently on... i eventually had to buy hosting service from another provider today, just to accommodate my customer's databases, but i only had the schemas, not the data.
so folks, is there anybody else here that has similar login problems to their postgres databases from the cPanel's phpPgAdmin? i feel like i'm served a lot of nonsense, and i wonder if i should start planning to migrate entirely or not.
