phpBB log in issues with XP

I'm using the phpBB loaded from fantastico in cpanel. Just put it online yesterday. I can log on and register names from my mac's at several locations, but when I attempt to log on from either of my XP machines I get a 404 error "page not found"

Can somebody tell me why this is happening?:confused:

Maybe cookies settings on your browser ? There is no incompatibility with phpBB and XP per se... nor with IE for that matter, to my knowledge.

If you want me to take a look create a test account and I will attempt login with IE 6.0 XP SP2 for you.
