Non Blue Host (or Self Signed) SSL Certificates

I can't find anything in KB on SELF signed certificates. I find plenty of KB search hits on buying a (private) certificate, but nothing on installing my own, or one I buy from a different CA (which would be "me" since that is all a self signed cert is).

Is anyone else signing their own certificates and/or installing certs purchased elsewhere? Where did you find instructions?

For example, if you transferred a domain that already had a cert, this would be you.

Is anyone else signing their own certificates and/or installing certs purchased elsewhere?When I was preparing to transfer my domain from another host, I created a self-signed certificate to use while getting the BlueHost-hosted site up and running. All that was necessary was to send the certificate data to the tech support folk and they installed it for me. Later, when my new site went live they installed the RapidSSL cert for me.
