Has anyone tried to install BuddyPress via SimpleScripts? When I do, it seems to install correctly, but when I try to access the site I get a fatal error: "Fatal Error. If your blog does not display, please contact the owner of this site. If you are the owner of this site please check that MySQL is running properly and all tables are error free. Could Not Find Blog! Searched for buddytest.advenci.com/ in advencic_bp01::wp_blogs table. Is that right?"
I went through the suggested troubleshooting steps, and all seems to be well. I was wondering if anyone else has had any luck.

That's brave!
I would have to say no... I've found BP is very fussy about the steps required to get it up and going.
Does SimpleScripts let you do the interim stage of getting Wordpress MU up and running? The failure of this step is usually the cause of the BP install... but once you've done the BP part it's very difficult to fault find.
I only ever attempt a BP install manually, and always get WP MU running and tested before I proceed. It's essential that it can create new blogs for BP to work! Sounds obvious I know, but you can't test that once BuddyPress has been added to your WP MU install and failed.

Supposedly, SimpleScripts will install Wordpress MU as part of the BuddyPress install. I haven't verified this. I was already wondering if it would be better to just manually install WordPress MU and BuddyPress. I wanted to try SimpleScripts first though. It makes things a lot simpler (when it works). :)

If you created a database then that's why the error is occuring. Try letting it create one for you and the install should yield no errors.
