Downloading from a FTP

Ok I need help fast!
I just finished a site for someone and I would like to just transfer it to them over a FTP but idk how to set up an FTP site were they can download files.. can anybody help please!!!

For downloading, there's no need to set up any kind of FTP site. I would simply zip up all the files that constitute the site, and stash the file on my domain, like www.example.com/thesite.zip. The recipient can then just point a browser to it, save the file, and unzip it.
