View Full Version : Bluehost support tickets... where do they go?
I've lodged my second support ticket with BH in recent days, but they seem to vanish into thin air.
In Cpanel once I've lodged it I get a ticket number... but no email confirmation ( maybe they don't send them? can anyone verify? ). If I go into Ticket History there's nothing there, including any past / open tickets.
I never got a reply to my last ticket, but then again I got tired of waiting and called up live support so perhaps they cancelled it.
Does the ticket history page actually work?

If you need help with something, use Live Chat. The ticket system is often slow, and things do, indeed, seem to disappear.

A couple of other things.... If you don't login to the helpdesk before putting in your ticket, it won't show up on the history page. And no, there's no email confirmation on ticket submission.
Hmmm... kinda defeats the purpose of having a ticket system... maybe Bluehost should remove the link and just suggest everyone hits live chat. :p

There are low priority requests - where you want something done but it isn't urgent - that are better handled via tickets.
Also there are some types of request that the support people on live chat can't action straight away where they will ask you to submit a ticket.
The ticket system therefore has its uses even though for most problems live chat is the better alternative.

I've also noticed that the ticket system appears to have undergone some changes lately, so they may have cleared up some of the old problems with it. But I haven't had occasion to use it in a long time, so I can't offer any recent first-hand experience.
