please help me create an Email server

i am a beginner and i have no clue as to how i am supposed to proceed.:confused:
i am to create a mail server as my semester's project and i have to get it done in a month's time.:eek: but i dunnno how.. please help me get started. any help will be great.:o

Do you mean an email account? From your cPanel go to Email Accounts, then follow instructions to Add a New Email Account.

You can set up a mail server on your local PC using either Mercury Mail http://www.pmail.com/m32_461.htm or Apache JAMES http://james.apache.org/

Not sure if this is what you're after....
