Hello, I am a new member to the bluehost forum and a novice when it comes to setting up domains and sub domains. I am going to use Drupal to create multiple sites. I would like some direction in setting up the subdomains.

I have looked at the redirect section of blue host but I'm not sure how to create the redirect. In the line "http:// all domains" my options are example.com and widget.example.com. Which do I enter? The next line is bland preceeded by a /. What do I insert there. Then next "redirects to." Do I enter the subdomain as www.widget.com?

I have a clean Drupal installation with no content until I figure this step my site/sites are down.

Would someone please advise.

Thank you
Lon

You don't have to do the redirects yourself. Just add a subdomain through the Control Panel, and it will take care of the redirection for you.

The same applies to addon domains - there's no need to mess with redirects, .htaccess files, etc. Just use the Control Panel to add the addon domain.

I think that's what he's referring to. Basically, once you know exactly what you want to redirect, just enter the information there. Your addon domain and subdomain are very different things, so make sure that you set up the redirect how you want it to behave. If you want http://website.com/page1 to direct to http://page1.website.com, select "website.com" from the drop-down and then fill in the blanks with the rest of the information.
