I tried to activate the Free Postini Spam blocker free trial as emailed to me by Matt Heaton / President Bluehost.com. Since them, my spam has tripled to about 300 spams a day from China, Russia, Germany and the U.S. After contacting Blue Host tech support, they informed me that they had no record of my activation of the trial offer, even though I had called in on two separate occasions to activate and question its effectiveness. They did however have record of the fact that I did call about spam issues, just no record of what was done with my account. Now that the alleged free trial period is over, I get fake spam blocker messages that contain sensitive Bluehost.com cpanel info. I was told this is just a coincidence, that Bluehost is secure from spammers and hackers. I am suspicious that Bluehost sells our email addresses to spammers to drive us to upgrade to the next level of hosting, or they have a kickback deal with Postini. Either way, their staff is incompetent and dishonest, they have no interest in keeping my business and may very well be the source of my spam. Thanks for nothing Bluehost... pathetic service.
