Howdy y'all!
I have a two year old LG Xnote that we bought in Korea in August 2007. This is the second time since March 2009 that either the graphics card went down or the hard drive lost its partition. In March it did both apparently. I'm not inclined to fix it. I was never happy with its performance and it had several other unique flaws like a missing battery and a fraying powercord both of which were proving difficult to replace.
Question: what to do with it now?
Thanks for your suggestions and advice.

Do you have access to a wood chipper? I'm thinking maybe you should gleefully reenact a scene from Fargo.

I was thinking more on the lines of the fax machine scene from Office Space. You just need a field and a bat.

throw it up on ebay.. :) you would be surprised at what people will buy.. and it only costs a few bucks..
even if it doesn't sell after a week or so, destroy it.. :D <3 office space

All are good suggestions and would gladly take a bat or washing machine to the infernal machine. But, is there a charity that might be able to make good use of it?

Doubtful, if the graphics card is always failing, and there are bad problems with it, they will have bad problems with it too.. It's like getting someone's hopes up right before you tell them no.. :) .. You could just take it to your local computer store, most of them will recycle it for parts.. the screen and proc is still good, as is the ram and the mobo sounds like..
if you don't mind me asking.. how was that rubberized trackpad?

If you do sell or donate it, I would suggest that you "destroy" your hard drive if you have any sensitive data stored on there. All you need is a power drill and a 1/4-inch bit.

Yes, any type of deleted files can be retrieved. Remove the harddisk before deleting any type of computer.

I think you mean "donating" and not deleting. :D
