Hello, I have at present some domains (.no, .se and .dk in Europe) registered in their prospective countries, all pointing to BlueHost. The problem is that, apparently, by law it is impossible to implement domain privacy as all records should be public. But since I'm using BlueHost for these domains is there any way of getting around this? Or any other suggestions? I hate the idea of my email address, etc. being left to the hands of spammers and what's worse. Thanks in advance for any comments.

As far as I know you have to do it from the register side. You could transfer the domains to bluehost and then activate domain privacy.

BH can provide domain privacy only for domains that are registered with BH, and you can't transfer those domains to BH. BH can act as the registrar only for .com, .net, .org, .biz, .info, and .us domains.

Thanks, both of you. So, there's no way around this? Will ever BlueHost be able to accommodate other domains than the ones you mentioned, Early Out? Or is this a legal/internacional matter?

I don't think most countries allow out-of-country registrars to handle their domains.

Also if a country has a law that privacy cannot be used on their domains then even if registrars outside of the country were allowed to offer the domains they would not be allowed to offer privacy for them.
