Server Requirement Error: register_globals is disabled in your PHP configuration. This can be enabled in your php.ini configuration file or in the .htaccess file in your catalog directory.
I can't locate the directory, nor php.ini

You can find the php.ini file in your public_html folder. If you don't see it, then it may have been deleted and Bluehost support can upload a fresh one for you. For OS Commerce, you just need to copy the php.ini into the folder you installed OSC and the /admin/ folder within that.

Another problem is to install your own assembly of OScommerce besides Fantastico.
Is here any specific procedure to install purchased separately template OScommerce website?

I have this file in both places and still get this error. Any ideas? I also have blurry images in my OS Commerce admin when I am trying to set it all up. It seems to take the commands, but some of the pictures won't display and some are smeared.
Update: I didn't have php.ini in all of the right places after all. Now that problem is fixed. But I am still geting the blurry images. I am thinking something is corrupted on the install. Any suggestions?

Although you can make osC work by turning on Register Globals, you probably shouldn't do so for an active store. Rather, after installing osC download and install the Register Globals Off (http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,2097) contribution.
There are many useful contributions available on the osCommerce site. If you're going to be running an osC store you're well advised to learn how to modify it, using contributions and otherwise, to best suit your needs.

Are there patches for my blurry image problem? I looked through the list but didn't see any. I posted this problem in a new thread, but thought you might see it quicker here. My problem is seen at:

Note: I have re-ftp'd the files 3, yes THREE times and they keep doing this. Any suggestions would be VERY appreciated.
Thanks!:o

Problem fixed---I was trying to install without using fantastico and I think the "time-out" maybe corrupted the images before...
