I have accounts on a few different boxes, and ALL show this. Others may want to check to see if they have the same problem.

My Error Log shows repeated referrer spam attacks, and other issues, like a misconfigured server.
Most are obviously bots, and I can get 50 or more hits at one time, all from the same IP.

These show under the MAIN error_log: HEADING -- Not SUEXEC or PHP errors.

STRANGE: NOTHING I do stops the errors in error log -> I've blocked by IP in .htaccess, used "SetEnvIfNoCase Referer" etc.

*** I just noticed the IPs DON'T show in ANY of my OTHER logs.
It appears they don't get "counted" in my Awstats as hits, or in Latest Visitors.

*** Does this mean I should ignore it?
Is Error Log showing me errors occuring to the server itself, and not my account specifically?

Ideas, anybody?

We all have them. These are not restricted to your account, unless you identify a script in the logs you know you're running. These are general server (box) logs.

The main log contains all those messages generated at points where BlueHost has been unable to amend the code to allocate it to the specific one of the 400 or so accounts on the server that the message actually belongs to.
