Hello
I am new to bluehost and the forum, and i would just like to say hello.

Are free domain name's like 'co.cc' allowed on our accounts?

I have a public awareness/ recreational site with 'co.cc' at the end hosted on a free web host, and i would like to move it here.

Thank you:)

You're probably not going to be able to do that.

There are two ways of hosting a domain name on BH. One is simply to change the nameservers on your existing domain registration so that they point to BH: ns1.bluehost.com and ns2.bluehost.com. Your domain is still registered where it is now - you're just changing the hosting. But those "co.cc" domains aren't "real" domains, so I'm pretty sure you can't change the nameservers on them.

The other way is to actually transfer the domain registration to BH. But BH can host only .com, .net, .org, .biz, .info, and .us domains. Again, your free "domain" isn't a real domain name, so I don't think its registration can be transferred elsewhere.

By the way, to figure out what you've got, head for http://whois.domaintools.com, and plug in your domain name. I'm betting that it doesn't resolve to something that's identified as belonging to you.
