I have phpbb and zen cart webshop hosted by bluehost

I made the full backup, and I downloaded to my local computer.

Now, can I restore my phpbb and zencart shop with the full-backup generated file?

if yes ,how to do it? thanks!!

I don't know about Zen Cart, but I had successfully restored a phpBB board using a full backup from one host to another some years ago.

If you are on the same host with the same domain name (in other words, if nothing has changed and you're simply restoring), upload via FTP the forum directory structure as you originally had it, then use cPanel and MySQL Database backup to restore the sql file.

Just make sure the user and database names remain the same.

I may be missing a step or two (hopefully someone else will chime in), but I know it's possible because I've done it myself.

I went into cPanel to investigate this further (but didn't test anything). There are three ways that I see you can restore your sql database file.

1: cPanel --> phpMyAdmin -->
Click the "SQL" icon atop the left pane navitation menu.
Select "Import Files"
Browse to your sql file and upload (Go).

2: cPanel --> phpMyAdmin -->

Click "Import" (The last link on the main page menu).
Browse to your sql file and upload (Go).

3: cPanel --> Backups -->

Restore a My SQL Database
Browse to your sql file and upload.

If I remember correctly, I used Backups to restore my database.
