Hi,

My account is being throttled like crazy. How can I know which scripts are causing this to happen so I can mitigate the problem?

Thanks,

It may have changed but when I had this problem there wasn't a way without help ... I eventually nagged my way up the tech support ladder and they finally told me what was causing the problem. Apparently the info you need is in a log that only the admins can access.

Go ahead and do whatever they tell you frist {usually optimizing mysql databases and clearing caches} Then if the problem persists just keep insisting that you need more info and eventually an admin will give you what you need.

In my case BH had updated the server and changed a setting ... for the life of me I have no idea how I could have figured it out without the specific details.

Good luck!

Have you asked BlueHost support whether they have fixed the reporting problem for the throttling report so as to know whether your site really is being throttled or whether it is just the report?

Is it having any noticable effect on the operation of your site?

Thanks for the information. I have a better understanding now of how this should be approached. I have to talk to the tech support to sort this out.

I honestly don't feel a performance hit, it's just the report showing frequent CPU throttling. I'll see how to clear this up with tech support.

Thanks,
