Hello, i was wondering if i can setup a Shoutcast web radio like on my Bluehost space :confused:

I haven't tried it myself but if you were trying to do a live shoutcast it would probably be a waste of resources but you can certainly create playlists to stream pre-recorded items and create an "On Air" link that points to shoutcast on your computer for when you do live shows. That's all pretty easy and a lot of fun :)

Good idea. Shoutcast does live audio which is too resource intensive for shared servers.

i have a poor connection 256kbps /s & i can't stream music from my machine thought there was a solution to setup all this on my server

You may need to set your audio bit rate lower but 256kbs is fine for music just not CD quality atleast not for more than one listener. If you really want to ... and assuming BH allows it ... you can setup a rebroadcast in your account but it would be a lot easier just to have your friends rebroadcast it for you.

i think i'll give up the idea about streaming media for the moment i installed a player in the portal instead of that
