Outlook Synching Gmail Question

I am using Outlook to synch 10+ different email addresses and save all of their emails to specific folders. For some reason, a few years ago when I started doing this, Outlook "missed" several hundred emails from when I first opened one of my Gmail accounts. Does anyone know if there is a way for me to just download a specific timeframe of emails from Gmail to Outlook? If I set the entire list in Gmail back, and Outlook downloads EVERYTHING again, I will have a ridiculous amount of duplicates, and I have not found a neat and tidy way of resolving those.
