I have to say, this is my first post mainly because this is the first time I have felt the need to post.
Since moving to bluehost, their support has been great and I have nothing but praise for them. But the communication does need to be improved and other than these forums I see no other way to know if a problem extends beyond my site and thus isn't down to me.
Quite simply, when I have a problem with my site, I visit the forum and if others are having the same problem, then I know it's something larger than just my site and know that support are aware of it and working on it. I know I don't have to call support to add my name to the ever growing list of callers and clog up the support help line.
If I don't see anything here, I'll call support. If a post has been deleted, wouldn't that just increase the load on support for that problem?
Maybe a page with the status of each box would be useful, then we can all see if our server is having a problem or not and if support are aware of it.
Or just a post from support saying xyz is being investigated, thanks for your patience.
A lot of us can't be contacted by email because the email account is on the server that is down or inaccessible so this forum is our only way (so far) of you letting us know what is going on.
