I just used the simple service to put up a Wordpress blog on Genie123.com, but when I try to log in using the password I was given at the end of the install, it doesn't work. When I took the forgot password route, I got an email telling me the login and password are what I was using (looked closely at the case). The message says that Bluehost doesn't support the installation, and the Simple people say the same thing. Now what do I do?

How are you doing the WordPress install - Fantastico, SimpleScripts, or manually?

There is nothing to stop anyone installing a WordPress blog on BlueHost hosting and BlueHost are actually one of the preferred providers for hosting WordPress based sites.

The latest version is 2.9

Simple Scripts and Fantastico only have 2.8.6 but you can go to Tools/Upgrade after you install it to update to the latest version.

I am sorry not to be clear in the first place. I used Simplescripts to set up the Wordpress blog. The password to login to it that I was issued at install does not work and has never worked. The forgot password function gets me an email telling me that the password is the one I am using. What do I do? Simple Scripts says they don't do support, and the Bluehost email says they don't do support either.

Check your capslock key.

Thank you for your suggestion, but the caps lock is not the problem - I just discovered that the problem was that old the "O" is really a "0" problem. All of the other pieces of the pasword were letters and I never considered that that last letter might be a number. Thank you for your assistance.

That would have been my next suggestion since that is about all that would be left after all of the alternatives that had already been eliminated. From what you has said already it had to be something with how you were entering the password. Great that you finally solved it.
