I'm sold. Is anyone else around here completely in love with Nintendo?

I kindof wish they had stuck with the name "Revolution" (I mean, how silly does it sound saying "I think I'm going to go play with my Wii."), but then I think about it and I say to myself, "Self, if they called it the 'Nintendo Go-Kill-Yourself' I would probably still buy it." After all, Nintendo has been doing this longer (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fusajiro_Yamauchi) [wikipedia.org] than all of you (M$, Sony). And being able to play Smash Brothers Online makes me want to scream like a little girl.

The other good news about the Wii is the price. PS3 is going to retail for $599 on launch and games on Bluerei will cost $60-$100. To buy a PS3 and a game, that's how much I paid for my car.

Nintendo is good at making fun games, I can't wait to see the Zelda game (which ships with the system retailing at $250), it will be very interesting to play. You actually use the controller like a bow and arrow to aim. Not only that, when you release the arrow, the sound comes from the controller.

I think it will gain more popularity after launch, I must say that I would rather have a DS over a PSP any day of the week.

Yeah, I have a PSP. What a complete waste. The only game I spent any considerable amount of time on was Lumines.

It's nice to hear Nintendo taking a different path. Xbox is well.. run by MS and Sony seems to have lost their way. Bigger isn't always better.
