Webmail Logout: Infinite Loop of not-logging out

Regardless of if I logout with the button on bluehost's webmail client selection page or from within the webmail client itself, when I type mail.mydomain.com in again, it's as if I've never logged out and it says "welcome [username]" and just prompts me to select a mail client and I can access the account without reentering a user/pass.

This problem seems to be limited to safari though, because I just tried it in firefox and it behaved properly.

Any ideas?

I think that answers the question... I've never had that problem myself, but have always used Firefox. It probably has to do with the browser cache, but it wouldn't be very convenient to clear it every time you log out.

In any browser pressing the back button enough times after logging out would take you back to a cached page that should only be visible while you are still logged in. The only way to complete the logout process in any browser so that can't happen is to close the browser.

Does closing and reopening Safari correct the problem you are seeing?

@felgall: thanks, you're right, restarting safari does solve the problem. Stupid Safari...
