I literally have about 30 email addresses all with different sites. What is the best way to manage all these. I currently use Gmail to manage them but they restrict to a maximun of 6.

My goal is to use one software or interface and have access to all incoming email. Any ideas or suggestions ??

MS Outlook or equivalent. This is available on any decent client side mail package.

I use a program called Thunderbird (http://en-us.www.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/thunderbird/).
If you want to download your emails you need to have a server that supports POP3 or IMAP. Most email services do offer this, however not all of them offer it for free. You can avoid this by forwarding emails to your gmail account (which offers it for free) and then downloading it from there, but you would not be able to send back emails under that specific email address.
If you are referring to emails on your BH server, they do offer POP3 access and can be set up to use thunderbird.

Hope this helps

I had great difficulty setting up the "Thunderbird" mail client program. I finally got it to work. Here is what I found. In all of Blue Hosts instructions, they say that authentication is required. THIS IS NOT CORRECT for Thunderbird however. ENSURE THAT THE CHECK BOXES FOR "SECURE AUTHENTICATION" IS NOT CHECKED. I spent about five hours playing around with different settings before discovering this.

Here are the settings I found:
Under "Server Settings":
Server Name mail.domain.***(*** being .com, .net, .org, etc. So, if your website is www.wigits.com you would have mail.wigits.com) Port 110
User Name (your email address) ie: johndoe@wigits.com
Connections security None
Use secure authentication ENSURE IT IS NOT CHECKED
The other boxes are not critical
Under Outgoing Server (SMTP)
Servername mail.domain.***
Port26
Username and Password is checked
Username ie johndoe@wigits.com
Use secure authentication ENSURE IT IS NOT CHECKED
CONNECTION SECURITY None

I hope this is helpful to others.

Alternatively you can setup some email accounts to "forward" to your real address. I do this on the accounts I don't really need, but want to have for reputation sake so that business communication is more professional.

Yea i do the same. I forward all my email to my gmail account and then if I have to respond to an email then I just log into that other email account and go from there. Most of the time I don't get much email.
