Does anyone know a way to provide a couple pages to members of my site where they can put up their own stuff? I looked at community architect and it looked like what I was after but I guess they don't offer it anymore.
I have a site for parents of kids with disabilities and want to offer free a couple pages for them to tell about their kids and put up a few pics. Something they could author themselves.
Any ideas?
Thanks..

Make a folder for a user's files/pics then give them an FTP account. Limit the account's access to only that folder. Thus, your users can now upload anything they want. You can also limit how much storage space is available to the FTP account. Unfortunately that means your users would need to know how to create a webpage and upload using FTP. However, there are other ways.
You could even create a WordPress Blog. Make several users and grant them author privelleges. That will allow them to create entries, and I think even pages... not 100% sure.
That's a couple of ideas. There are lots of other ways though...

I have used this software, when 'teaching' friends to get going in HTML.

To see how I implemented it, check here, even register and give it a try, to see if it fits the bill:) http://www.webpagefun.com/my_website/

Thanks for the ideas.
Tom, the site builder program looks promising. I need to tinker around with it and see. It's a little more $$ than what I have right now, though. I'm a SAHM and just have my site to help other parents. Maybe I'll be able to get it soon though.
I need something that would be simple for the users, most of them would not know anything about building a website.
Is there a lot involved with getting it set up? I don't know a whole lot about "stuff like this" :D and learn as I go, but I really would like something simple.

That's why I suggested a blog soultion because the users would only have to enter plain text and won't need to know anything about HTML or any codes. You could also look into CMS that would allow users to have thier own page. They still wouldn't need to know any coding. Just some options

 Don't know what CMS is. :o I had a blog set up for me on my site, but got frustrated trying to get it like I wanted exactly. I ended up just using blogger.
www.caringbridge.org has a site that I like and wanted something similar to that.

I was thinking more a long the lines of Joomla for a CMS. Just research them and some blogs. Their are tons of mods you can add to them to make them exactly how you want them.
