SSL purchase

Hey guys, I've purchased an SSL certificate and dedicated ip through bluehost today, and have some questions.:)

-approx. how long does it usually take for the SSL to go into effect, for any of you who've done this?

-when I go to my site, the domain name is redirected to my new dedicated ip address. is this normal, or permanent?

Also, is data sent from the server to an email address located on the same server protected by SSL?

Yes this is normal. Once the servers refresh, reset, whatever it is it does once a day then you dedicated IP will revert back to your URL. So don't worry it's normal.

As far as the SSL it should go into effect as soon as they install it. Did you purchase this from Bluehost or someone else?
