Lately I've noticed that my website goes down alot and uses a large ammount of bandwidth. According to cPanel I've already used 89 megs of bandwidth, yet I'm the only visitor on my website usually and when I do modify/visit it, it's only for an hour to two hours. I use to have hosting with another host in a similar setup to my site now which I visited/modified for an hour or so like I do now, and I never succeded the 50 meg bandwidth limit for that host strangly enough.

You sure you are the only visitor? Does anyone know of your site or do you have "sweet" images that someone might be hotlinking? If you are truely the only visitor and are just working with textfiles, I don't see how that much can occur either. When you look at stats is there one file/address that seems to keep being accessed?

There are 7 users registered on the forums, and they've been unactive since the time they joined (sometime in January). Also I don't think anyone is using my images, since I really don't have any "sweet" images. The current text/ASCII files on my website are just common PHP/JS/CSS files, barely in use.

I'd still check your stats and see what files are used the most and their respective bandwith, Awstats shows this. I rarly work on my site, but have still managed to use 230megs. That is just me alone, since no one knows of my site yet and I haven't submitted it to any search engines yet. Even that is roughly 1% of my quota, not a real big deal.

I think I know why. I was working on a search spider and I think it continuely visited the site and used up alot of my bandwidth.

Yes, maybe like Google Bot eating your bandwith, I think.
