I have gone to Backup on CPanel and tried to restore a sql database and this is what I get:
Java Plug-in Fatal Error:
Several Java Virtual Machines running in the same process caused an error
Has anyone else gotten this error?

Yes, I had already read that by the time I posted but doesn't help me. =/
My question is towards BH community. Has it happened to anyone else here? Do you guys use the CPanel to restore databases? Etc
Thank you anyways. :)

I recently setup a Bluehost account and tried to restore a backup created on my previous host. Both are similar Linux hosts whose backup utilities create gzipped SQL commands, so I assumed I could simply restore from the Bluehost control panel. I used the "Backup" icon and then selected "Restore a MySQL database". I could not get this to work at all, many times it just froze, sometimes I got to a page that said it was uploading but it never finished and never loaded anything in the database.
What I did: I went to the phpmyadmin control panel and created the database. Selected the database and at the top of that page there is an SQL tab. This brings up a form that allows you to select the gzipped file from your local drive. I left the Compression selection as "Auto Detect". This ran all of the SQL commands from the backup file just fine. Might work...

Yeah, I have restore dbs from phpmyadmin before, than you for reminding me. ;)
However, I think that BH should make sure that CPanel backup/restore functions are working as they should since right now, the backup causes cpu quota to be exceeded and restoring causes Java errors, at least for me.
Thank you
