Anyone know of an easy to use job board software to use on Bluehost/Fantastico? I am not extremely technical, so I need something simple (or some serious help). Currently I have some non job sites running PHPBB and Geeklog.

I have experimented with a job board using Joomla and a component (add-in) called jobline (http://mambo.theyard.org/) - I believe you can install Joomla through Fantastico - but you'll need to manually install jobline using the component installer in Joomla.

I've installed Jobline for Joomla! as well.
One drawback is that job seekers can't post resumes.

Thanks for the feedback. Jobseekers posting resumes is very important to employers who want to search for them.
(any other ideas anyone?) :)

I also use a classifieds extension in my joomla! install and I have a message for job posters to check the classifieds for resumes.
The focus of my site isn't the job search so it is not a priority.
Although I did do an rather extensive search for a stand alone script and didn't find anything comparable out there that is open source... at least none that seemed easy to install and administrate.
There are some commercial packages out there.
Good starting points for search --
Here's a search link at CGI Resource index-

Actaully, you could set up a forum that allows attachments. Just set up boards for employers and for seekers. That is if you are not planning to charge the employers for the service.

Thanks for the response. Funny thing it has been over a year since I made my original inquiry. However, right now I am working hard to isolate a solution by the end of the month.
But I do not want a hosted solution, as I my developer will integrate it and we'll host it ourselves.
Has anyone heard of webscribble? I am trying to get more information on them or any other high-quality/low-price job board solution.
Thanks!

I'm currently using webscribble software. And I have to tell you that I am now experimenting with joomla and jobline, to replace webscribble. So far so good.

Take a look at xpandedmedia.com (http://www.xpandedmedia.com) they offer one of the most advanced job board systems available, as well as custom design, tailored back ends to your niche, hosting, support, or full source code if you need it.

If you want to learn a bit of PHP / MySQL, you should try to do the "Job Website from Scratch"
http://www.phpvideotutorials.com/
When paying the 10$ you also get the sourcefiles if you get lazy :)
