I'm trying to install Ktools PhotoStore. It requires register_globals on and safe_mode off . Which I can't seem to manage. :o

Here's my phpinfo: http://www.mainefocus.com/php-bin/phpinfo.php where you'll see that safe_mode is, indeed, off. But the confounded register_globals are OFF no matter what I do. I uploaded the default php.ini and viewing it does show register_globals as ON but apparently they're not and I don't know what to do next.

Help will be muchly appreciated.

Hello Gorham, Please try searching before posting. There are a few threads that involve php.ini. All you had to do was to add the php.ini file to the directories where the scripts are. The phpinfo page you posted must have the php.ini file in the same directory to show the change. Having it in just one directory will not affect anything outside of it.

Hi,

I did a thorough search and did find what you suggest. I put the php.ini file in the root (which is where the script is) and admin directories (and every other directory I thought might use it) and it made no difference.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I had done my homework first.

OMG. I just did it again and now it is working. :eek: Maybe it's your magic or maybe I found a directory I'd missed before.

Maybe it's your browser cache [that gets everyone round here]. :) Glad it worked out.

Hi wana just to question I had same problem, and I have gave up. Not shure how to solve a problem please if you dont mine can you post how did you install your ktools the whole procedure Im realy nOOb here in this.

I have Installed Appache Server PHP and mysqul, configured all and finished with same problem as you described in your text above
