Support has been great with fast replies. But some things worry me about BH. Support responses all come without a break in the lines: can hardly read them. Is that always the case?
Also live chat is never available: been trying for days.
Support emails have been responded to very quickly which is impressive. Also Bluehost have these excellent forums which other many other hosts don't provide.
What has your experience been of telephone, email and live chat support?

I like the service from support. I dislike how I cannot access any of my websites right now...
Been down for about 30 minutes.
But yet, when I login to my CPanel, the server status is all good.

I've never tried live chat.
The one support ticket I filed was answered within a few hours. The solution (mysql can't handle passwords with quotation marks in them :)) was right on.
I've used phone support three times (once before I was a customer!) and each time was excellent. I was on hold for (total) less than a minute. The techs I spoke to were very polite.

Just received a spam to one of my email accounts hosted by bluehost (I use 2 different companies at present)
"The myth 9 to 5" from a company supposedly in Utah...
from Allen@box72.bluehost.com
Just a huge coincidence ya think???

I like the uptime, but I posted a ticket and it is two days past due, meaning 4 days without a response. Do you guys send tickets or just send an email to support@bluehost.com?

No problem here with ticket response times... had one resolved in under a minute... once or twice I have waited more than 24 hours, but those tickets were for complex matters that needed to be escalated to a higher level.

I've used a number of different companies over the past 10 years and all my best experiences with supports and features have been with Bluehost. No downtime issues for me.
They have a good hosting deal, for one. When I sent in a help request, I got a response 5 mnutes later. And it worked, too. I gotta say, I was quite pleased with that. :D
I had experienced a short down times that didn't last too long ..
I like the service .. no complaints until this moment ..
BlueHost is what I call a HOST !..

Price is good.
Downtime's happen. Bluehost does not seem to multipeer to the net, big let down.
CPU usage on the box's have been a issue.
edit: They also don't know how to maintain or restore a backup. These forum's for example, had over a 1000 registered member's and ALOT of good posts. BH "lost" the database and didn't resolve that issue.

My personal feeling is that Bluehost management has taken business courses from executives at Enron, or have hired former Enron staff. The amount of spam received has increased more than 200% since changes have been implemented, now BH wants us to buy into 3rd party solutions. Now access to our website is not possible. I have gone from being :) with BH to  . To those who will respond about the low fees, if something does not work it has no value. We are judged by our actions, not our words.

My ISP has just introduced a similar 3rd party solution for spam - also at an extra fee. The problem is that spam is growing so fast and few countries have effective anti-spam laws (the US ones just encourage it). The spammers appear to be winning the battle to clog up the email system with spam.
Those who buy from spammers should be burned at the stake (for a first offence).

I have been moving from host to host trying to find the best option. Thus far BlueHost seem to offer the most for the money. I have just renewed one of my accounts another year with them, but have not move others because of e-mail blocking issues with Comcast and BH. In my first year I generally have found response to Tickets typically to be 72 hours, seldom faster. I have expereinced better uptime than with other Hosts.
I have tried to use the Host Rating on the Net for guidance in selection, but found too many people with "axes to grind" or "accounts to market" to give them much credibility. It also seems many hosts are the same company, but with different names. I am now down to using three different hosting companies, because it always seems the latest & greatest lets their quality drop and I have to move.
