I can go and install the gallery but once it is installed, I can't do anything! I can log in but I'm not recognized as the Admin so I can't add any photos or do anything. I'm logging in with the information that I gave when I install the gallery. Has anyone else had this problem or know what to do? I'd really like to try to set a Coppermine Gallery up for my site.

When you login do you get the admin user menu that has the "upload approval", "config", etc. buttons?
Look in CPanel in Error Log. Is there anything there relating to Coppermine?

Ok, now this is weird. I just went and reinstalled the gallery again to see exactly what I got. Now I can get into the admin area!

That also happened to me when I installed Coppermine. It seemed as though the login was disabled because I could use my admin that I setup or any bogus userid and I got the same response. No error message but always returns to the start page with a guest login. I installed Gallery and started using it. A couple of days later I logged into Coppermine again and everythings was working fine. It seemed as though there was some kind of delay before the admin account was activated.

Today there was no delay. I installed the script and bam - was able to get in. The other day I could log in but it didn't recognize me as Admin. I just didn't like the look of the other two photo galleries and really wanted Coppermine.
Maybe they were updating their scripts or something? I don't know much about this stuff. I really like the fact that I can fill out information, click a button and something is installed on my site.

Ok, does anyone know how to create sub albums? Like, I want to have different shows and then sub albums under each show for each episode. Like, Lost then underneath each episode has a sub album. I can't figure this out.

So now that you have the experience, what advise would you give to someone who has yet to install Coppermine?

I installed it, messed around with it, removed it. Imo it was awful. >_> You should try it out for yourself though. ;)

I like the look of the Coppermine Gallery and it's easy enough to figure out. I did figure out the albums/category thing that was confusing me.
BUT... now, I can't log in. I get the login screen, insert my user ID and pass. Then... it takes me right back to that. Again and again and again.

Anyone have any idea as to how one would go about embedding Coppermine into a Wordpress blog? I'm pretty sure it needs to be installed in the Wordpress plugins directory but I'm having trouble figuring out how to do so.
Any tips?

I thought I would add this bit for future users that have this same login issue.
Coppermine has a program that stores cookies. Either disable this or delete your own cookies when this happens. It will also lock you out after so many attemps. Use the forgot password icon, follow the directions and it will reset it for you.
I learned the hard way:rolleyes:

Thought this would be a great place to post this. I have added coopermine and thought I would share some Discovery launch pictures. Add your own pictures if you like. I would be happy to reciprocate. Also, let me know what ,if any, improvements I can make to the program.
