First and foremost- I am an idiot. I know that.
I was trying to access the FTP and half paying attention. I must have hit a wrong button and installed the Jetpack?? I don't know - anyway I reinstalled wordpress and my blog history has been wiped clean. When I look at the history - I see all my uploads (pictures) out there. I am wondering - would my blog posts be out on the FTP anywhere? This just happened this evening.
Please help me.
Thanks!

Blog posts are stored in the database so you probably haven't wiped them but have just created a new database when you reinstalled. If that is what happened then all you need to do to fix it us to update the config file to point to the database that contains the blog posts.

Thank you very much. Can you tell me how to do that? Where is the config file?

You'll find that at the root of your installation, called wp-config.php

Thank you again for your help. I have followed the steps you outlined. I updated the config file and pointed it to the correct database. However, now when I type in my blog site, it is blank. I can not even get to the wp-admin site. When I go to the error log - I see the following errors -
warn] RewriteCond: NoCase option for non-regex pattern '-f' is not supported and will be ignored
