Hello,
I have recently assigned a domain to BlueHost, and am seriously wondering if I have made a mistake.
It is now 5 days since I ordered a Dedicated SSL and IP address, and the silence from BlueHost has been deafening. This is despite follow up emails & a support ticket from me trying to find out what is going on.
Has anyone else had such atrocious service from this crowd, as I would like to know before I go any further.
Thanks

I have been here for a couple of months and my service has been great. I have no complaints yet. You might want to call there tech support if they haven't got back to you yet.

As mentioned, ring the tec department, i have been with bluehost for over 2 years now and even thoe i`m in the uk i use skype and ring the tec people any time i have issues and they are more then helpfull in resolving any issues that i have.
Like the old saying, its always best to speak to thoese involved personaly, and get the answers straight from the horses mouth.

Thanks for your posts guys. However you would think that innumerable emails and a support ticket would actually do the trick. I will give them a call and see if they can put their twinkies down long enough to actually perform the tasks they are paid for.

Please don’t try to act like Bluehost is lazy or slacking in their job. They do a dam good job, always have. When you do call them you will realize they have one of the best tech support and they are not outsourced like other hosts.

The best part is that they speak English and you can understand them. That was one of the main reasons I chose Bluehost. I called several other webhosting companies, before I found Bluehost, to see what they offered. I didn't speak to anyone that understood what I was saying. This includes GoDaddy who I got my domain register through. I saw Bluehost was ranked very high on a lot of rating sites so I gave them a call and low and behold the person who answered spoke English and could understand me. :D

When I first started with Bluehost about 6 months ago I tried to communicate via email and support tickets and it tooks days. You have to remember they are busy answering one email at a time.

I learned that just giving them a call takes away any unnecessary headaches. You actually can talk one on one with a person and they are really friendly. :)

Never. I've been using Bluehost for over two years and any little issues or questions I have are taken care of near immediately... never had any issues at all. Being able to call at 3am west coast time is just fantastic. =)

Slow servers - maybe. Slow customer service - no.

I just signed on with Bluehost today for the second year I host 4 sites, did I look around before I signed up? you bet I did I read lots of forums compared options and prices uptime and services and customer support. Quite frankly no one came close to Bluehost. If you expect 100% uptime dont use a shared environment, if you need urgent help from Bluehost, Phone them, if it can wait an hour or so open a ticket.

Compared to the other hosting services I used before, and there were 3 of them.. well there is no comparison Bluehost is setting the standards that others need to follow.

Stick with Bluehost believe me they are probably the best around.:D

They don't seem to reply to emails.

I've been with BH for about a week. Following several support tickets and a few phone calls to answer questions I had, I have no complaints. They have responded to my needs promptly and courteously.

As you stated you just signed up for DSL, etc, is it possible that your Email isn't working so that a response from BH isn't getting through? Not trying to be insulting, just wondering.

Thanks for the advice everybody. I did give them a call and finally got some action out of them that way.
What would be nice is an automated reply to emails saying it will take such and such a time to get back to you...instead of nothing at all. That way I can at least know that I am not cooling my heels and wasting my time.
