I think I have pretty much heard them all. Routers, power outage, this that, the other thing. Now box 69 is acting stupid. Members can't upload pictures, it keeps coming up can not find server, my favorite because lately judging by the posts this is an everyday occurence.
Usually when my toilet clogs up it is due to a problem. Do you guys have too much paper in your "internet tubes"? Should I send you a dump truck.
Let's pull this act together. Enough of the Bush pep talks. What good is 30gigs of space if no one can find it?

As an aside but probably in line with the topic...I have a job to do for a client hosted on Bluehost. The server is almost totally halted and has been for a bit.
I can't even get in Cpanel and I have no clue which box they are on. I am getting used to this. Until now I thought I would only have to deal with it on my sites though.

I am down too, it does get old. Was in the middle of posting some new items on my site.
While we at this what does box 57 mean, I have no idea what box I am.

To see what box they are in, do a tracert for their site.

you are on box 111-171 (which is a pretty poor naming scheme incidentally)

Bluehost folks,
Hope you are paying attention to what folks are saying tonight. I appreciate the new router and all, BUT I just spent three weeks on a redesign, rebuild of my site and I can't tell you how hinky things are tonight.
I thought it was the site but then tried other things in different spots and realized that it's at the Bluehost end.
Here are the problems...pages simply stop loading...a click command will start and then nothing will happen....downloads halt....Again this is happening on different places on the site so it's NOT the new set-up...AND it's very inconsistent...pages come up with only half the data....pages take an interminably long time to load.
I run a clean, graphic-free site that doesn't have a lot of traffic. No reason I can see for what's going on.
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE LET US KNOW WHAT is:mad: GOING ON?.

Well it's been 6hrs now......My last host was IntegraHost. Bought into this one even tho it was a little more expensive. Now I'm thinking stay away from any place that has "host" as their last name. LOL
This is really getting rediculous.:(

ive been with bluehost for almost a year (75~ days til expiration), but apparently my site has grown too large to stay reliant on their services.. i really really really do not want to go through a host switch right now, but something has to give..
i run a site with 10,000 unique visitors a day, 500+ an hour, and we have been down at least 4 hours or so by my guesses. my site now just constantly gives a CPU quota error, after just not responding for the last couple of hours..
i would easily switch to the new server they offer at this point if it would prevent me from switching hosts and would provide reliable service, but right now im just very very upset at my site dying for the entire night.. FYI im on box 57..

That's too bad. I'm in the middle of searching for a new host -for a different reason, I won't get into it here. Narrowed it down to 3. The best place to look is webhostingtalk.com. All it is, is a forum but you get a very good feeling on what's going on from the people using the services. Representatives of many companies go in there too to make their case. In other words, it's a lot more independent than what's already available.
It's unlike those affiliate review sites that are completely rigged. If you run into a host in them ratings sites, beware!! They make a lot of money off the ignorant.
Good luck.
