Hi,
I joined last week and Ive been designing a quick copy of my site thats online at my present host.
I need to leave em fast due to their increasing downtime.

My question is , my site here looks great in design mode,
but when I preview it its a mess!
The text and images are all over the place, not where I placed em.
I copied and pasted the text and images from my presently online site.
Is that where I screwed up?

HELP!

Hi, Doug:

I think that I answered a question that you asked before about PageWizard but, from what I gather from those people who have attempted to use the software, it is just a trainwreck waiting to happen. My guess is that you are encountering the same difficulties. :)

If you already have the site posted at another server, is it possible to download the pages, retaining them in the proper folders, from them and then upload it to the BlueHost servers?

Post what your domain is, and I can help fix it. We now have a good developer that can fix the problems associated with Pagewizard. It is more than likely extra div tags and javascript in your page that is causing pagewizard to mess up.

Post the domain and the .html file in pagewizard that is messing up.

Thanks,
Matt

Thanks guys,
Im going to be using my domain spywarebiz.com
I havent transferred it yet.
Ive just been designing in page wizard to get it to look like whats online now at my present hoster.
I was just grabbing the text and pasting it into page wizard.
like I said, it looks great in design mode, but when I go to preview,
its all scattered about.
All my files are htm extensions still in page wizard so they are not online
The file is named index.htm. Its my home page

Heres the link in preview mode,I hope this helps

http://pagewizard.com/cgi-bin/builder/workspace?workspacepath=SpywareBiz/index.htm&projectname=SpywareBiz

It comes up as a blank page when I click on it, so Im not sure if this works for you to take a look at it.
I really appreciate the help

Hi Matt:

I am responding to your posting saying that you can help me fix my web site I did using the Pagewizard feature. I typically use Dreamweaver, but I thought I would try something different--I'll never do that again. :(

The domain name for the site I manage is http://www.tucsonautism.org (created in Dreamweaver & Fireworks) and the site that I developed off of that in which I thought I would try experimenting with Pagewizard is http://www.tucsonautism.org/resources/index.html It is linked from the main page (http://www.tucsonautism.org) by clicking on Resources.

The problem is with IE & MSN Explorer, there are no problems, but with Firefox, it is a total mess. I examined some of the HTML code to look for extra <div></div> tages, but it is so messed up, I do not know where to begin.

If you are able to fix it, can you please email me at the email address below. Thank you :)

Thank you for helping,
Stephanie Nardei

Simple, simple, simple....
The thing is you may be using firefox. For example you make website with firefox. You try it with internet explorer and you find out the text overlaps on the images!??
Well try using the same browser you made your site with:cool: Wait!!! This has nothing to do with preview:eek: :o

Hello Everyone!

PLEASE forgive me if this has been gone over before but I just want clarification on using PageWizard.

Before joining bluehost I created a web site using a different program. We discovered bluehost and joined and have since uploaded the old web site and all is pretty good but wanting to use bluehost to it full potential I was thinking about using PageWizard and re-create the web site. I have just about finished and I am having he problems that others seem to have with it being unstable. Picture and text are jumping around and I am wondering if I am just wasting my time using PageWizard. I would think that if you have had quite a number of problems with others using it that the problem with stability might be fixed. If I am totally misunderstanding this and the problem is just with me then PLEASE before I put more time into this I wonder why after saving it changes? Maybe I just shouldn't convert my web site using PageWizard and leave well enough alone. Any advice would be appreciated.
