I am making a site for an organization that has chapters nationwide. Each chapter has their own web site, not controlled by the org or me. I want to make an application on the national site that will show on the chapter's web site or blog when an individual's chapter will meet next. Each chapter would have their schedule - maybe the 3rd Tuesday of the month, or maybe just on an announced day. I can figure out how to process all that, but...
What would be the most universal way to show the result e.g. a box with "Our Chapter's next meeting is Tuesday, May 24, 2011" for example?
I should use the iframe tag.

Are you coding this from ground up or using a package?

This is just a side project for what they want. I will be making it from the ground up. But, I realized the <iframe> tag can insert the php page in an html page, and that should be fool-proof. I've never used an iframe, so I forgot about it until after I posted. Then, I couldn't find any way to completely delete the post.

You might want to take a look at Google Apps and the use of the calendars there. I'm just starting to dig into it for the know-how and curiousity.
Also - if you (or anyone) ever needs a post deleted, just send a PM to one of the mods.

Have each chapter use google calendar and share them with the national organization. This way each chapter can show just their events on the chapter website and the national website can show all of the chapters and the national events.
We just started this for the American Bamboo Society at http://www.bamboo.org/bamboo-events.php
