Latest vistors stats

OK, so a tech at Bluehost said that the "last 300 visitors" statement
seems to be incorrect and all that is showing are visitors in the last hour or so.
My question: can anyone recommend software or another site that offers
the ability to check recent visitors (more than just the last hour ;) ) to your site?

Thanks for this. I'd heard about GA,
but thought it'd be too "business-like" for my needs,
but it's actually easier to start-up than I expected and
it's a free service, so I'm giving it a try.
I'll see how it goes...

Just remember that GA ignores all of your visitors who don't have JavaScript or who have told GA to ignore them.

Thanks for the heads-up. I just noticed about an hour ago that
Bluehost has these things called "Awstats" and "Webalizer,"
so I've signed up. I have to wait at least 24 hours to see something I suppose,
so I'll see if that works. Those may become the real stat mechanisms for me.
