For some reason my website doesn't stay verified when I use the meta tag plugins like "verify all". Is there any way to upload the file instead of using meta tags? I use wordpress and I'm a scientist, not an IT guy.
Thanks guys!!

I have never heard of a verify all meta tag.
What exactly is it you mean by verifying your web site? I have never heard of such a thing.

"verify all" is a wordpress plugin that allows you to verify your page with the three major search engines webmaster tools, yahoo, bing and yahoo. You can either verify with a meta tag or upload a file to your root folder.

You don't need a plugin for that - you just copy the verification file that the search engines give you when you set up an account with them into the main folder of that site.

Yea but I'm honestly a website rookie, I only know how to add meta tags. Do you know how to add a file to the main site with blue host/wordpress?

You can upload files to your site most easily with any FTP program (Filezilla is one commonly used because it is a free download).
The File Manager options in cPanel can also be used but take slightly longer to navigate through all the options and can't upload lots of files at the same time.

I guess I just needed some step by step, it worked perfectly. Thank You!
