Hi All:

Have any of you explored the PageWizard feature of Bluehost yet? I have and I have had a very difficult time with usability issues. I created a new project off of the website I developed and maintained and after going through a horrific time with using PageWizard and the extremities of the usability issues, I completed the project.

However, my problem is with the difference in the way the website appears in different browsers. In IE or MSN Explorer, the website is fine, but in Firefox, it is a complete mess and nothing is as it should appear.

My URL is http://www.tucsonautism.org and the web project I designed using PageWizard is off of that website. It is the Resources link off tucsonautism.org. If you click on Resources on either the top navigation bar or main menu bar, it will take you into my autism resources website. The direct link is http://www.tucsonautism.org/resources/index.html Like I said in IE, I am able to make it work, but in Firefox, it is a disaster.

If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate it.

Thank you
Stephanie

Hi, StephanieN:

Well, my guess would be (without looking at the code) that the HTML is probably invalid. IE and MSN Explorer are very forgiving but FireFox and Netscape will shred a page with invalid code to pieces. ;)

Check out this thread (http://www.bluehostforum.com/showthread.php?p=13402#post13402) that has an answer from Matt Heaton, owner and CEO of BlueHost.com. It sounds like there may be support available to help you get everything up and running in no time. :)

Ya he is right. You really do not want to be using PageWizard. It’s a worthless hunk of junk.

ok just to go off that..page wizard is pretty lame..but talking to the people at blue host they told me to use NVU.com to create a page. do you guys know if this is any better or should i just stick to dream weaver and front page?

ps. i dont have dream weaver or front page and NVU.com would be more convient for me

I have used NVU before, but I think Dreamweaver is better. The nice thing about NVU http://www.thesitewizard.com/gettingstarted/nvu1.shtml is that it is a free download.
