how to put photos on my dating articles on wordpress

Yes youtube tutorial, but they are so fast. So to begin with I just want to put an image on my article about love and dating in a blog but i want the article not to be placed on a conventional paragraph. How can that be? You see I just do things on the Photoshop but I want to try wordpress. Can I just be my own boss on putting up subjects on the articles as if it looks like a stationary? Thanks for this site... it really help a newbie like me

Wordpress is blogging software so it will behave like a blog. Wordpress uses "posts". If you want static content you will need to create a page and add your image there.
